Hello!
I have a problem with rendering footage in Premiere Pro, using DXV. It is not an essential problem, but this time I prepared my footage very well and every loss of quality is sad.
The image becomes a bit harsh with DXV. I got three pictures to demonstrate. When you look at the outline of the Writings, you see it pretty pixeld in DXV. The picture with a different codec shows how it looks, after rendering with a diffenrt codec.
I know that DXV tends to add brightness to the rendered files, so I turned it down before rendering, but no change in sight.
Maybe someone knows something about that?
See you
baustellen
PS: Its from a still from a Fischinger-movie. Too funny, that five minutes ago, I was reading here in the forum, that vj-ing is stucked at the level of Fischinger-Work.

Re: DXV Rendering in PP screws Footage
These still show the compression artifacts of the DXV codec very well
Unfortunately this is unavoidable.
But remember that you're now looking at it from a close range on a computer monitor. When you're projecting this in a smokey club or on a big LED screen you will probably not see the compression artifacts.

Re: DXV Rendering in PP screws Footage
This is a serious problem of DXV codec.I am working mainly with blu-ray sources - musical performances, clips. When using DXV,these artifacts wery well are seen on Plasmas 50" screen.[Dramatically - white& black videos] For this moment i am using-testing apple ProRes422 - quality is fine for mixing "one by one".Only one problem - lower brightness.I must add brightness and contrast.I hope,DXV updates fix this problem in near future?Any other suggestions for fine quality codec manipulatings?
