Floating layer/clips

Post by DayVeeJay »

I think I may have seen this discussed in the past but a layer and clips that stay the same even if you switch decks would be really useful for things like masks, inputs, logos or anything else that needs to be accessed frequently or upon start up. It would save us from having to copy/paste clips to every deck :)

you can set layers to ignore column trigger.
if you launch a clip in layer 1, it should be playing when switching to another deck and triggering clips/columns in other layers.
and should stop when you hit the small X in the top left corner. (composition/disconnect all)
this is good for a logo.

For permanent installs a clip may need to be played when the application launches. For this to happen like you say the clip would have to be on every deck. For live shows it'd be really nice to have quick access to certain clips/inputs/routers. Switching decks takes can take a while.
