DXV Codec not found

Post by resolumeuer1962 »

I have installed quicktime and it was automaticly installed in the "programfiles (x86)" folder. After installing Resolume Arena 4 and try to convert a mpg4 file via "SUPER" Videoconverter over the dxv codec, the codec could not be found in the drop down menu of the existing codecs inner SUPER.

So the questions:

1. in the support area on the resolume website there ist standing, that quicktime has to be installed in the program files folder, ot in the programfiles (x86) folder. Does it matter or not?

2. If it doesn`t matter, is the codec called dxv or is it integrated inner, for example, cinepack codec?
3. How do I get the dxv codec into "SUPER", means, what is the name of the dll, so that I can copy it into the "SUPER" codec folder (Though I have to find out first, where SUPER collects the codecs to convert the videos)?
4. With SUPER I have to tell the software, which Audio Codec SUPER should use, to convert the audioof the videofile. So which audiocodec I should take?

If it does matter, will the dxv codec be found then from the converter software automaticly?

Please, answer as uncomplicated as possible, cause my english is really under average, cause schooltime is almost 35 years ago. :D

Thanks for help.

I just downloaded SUPER and I can't find the DXV codec either so it might not be available!

I use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014, Quicktime 7 Pro and MPEG Streamclip to convert to DXV codec and it is always available under Quicktime format. As far as audio, that depends on your preference but it looks like the default is Linear PCM (at least on my end but I don't use audio at all). I just saw another post by ravensc that recommend using uncompressed wave so I would probably do that if I were you.

Why don't you give MPEG Streamclip a try? http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html and choose the beta version.

Thanks for help. I use usualy the Adobe Software to render. But it is so expensive to have the software on more than one System. So I have on my Laptop nothing about that. I will try the suggestion from you.
