Frame rates's with DXV 3.0?

Post by Luxcollective »

It appears my frames rates go down dramatically using DXV 3.0 - Normal, anyone else experiencing this?

Reverting to DXV 2.0 doubles my frame rate for the same 2560x800 clip.

using MBP Retina - 2014 with 2gb GT750 with 16gb ram

Thoughts?

nevermind... DXV 3.0 doesnt play nice with older versions of Resolume (like 4.1.11)

4.2 for a live show tonight it is! :-)

DXV 3.0 definitely forces you to stay in Resolume 4.2 as DXV 3.0 crushes anything before (4.11, 4.06.. etc). There is no turning back.

DXV 3 sucks on earlier then 4.2 versions because Resolume is treating it like any random codec being played through quicktime. It was also have memory issues.

If you are using DXV3 with Res 4.2 and the frame is starting to suck I would suggest you compare DXV3 high quality and normal quality. If high quality is significantly slower its because of the speed your content's drive.
