Hi all,
Is there any way to 'lock' the cue points one they have been set on a particular clip?
A few times as I've gone to mouse trigger a cue point, I have accidently caught the left side of the button and overwritten the desired cue point with the current playhead position. Very annoying when working with long visual clips which are a pain to re-cue live.
Many thanks,
Ben

Re: Cue Point Lock
not that I know of.
you could map a keyboard key to the cue trigger, I think it's already mapped in application key map by default, check and see, to what key.

Cheers Raven, they are already mapped to Q W E R T Y but unfortunately it's not a lot of help in this particular venue as the control booth doesn't have any spare desk space so having to locate another keyboard isn't the easiest thing... Ideally I'd be triggering through Artnet but it's still a bit flakey...
Re: Cue Point Lock
I control the majority of my shows using Artnet over Ethernet LAN network and I have virtually zero issues. Are you doing Artnet over Wifi? If you are, I would highly recommend switching to good old 4-twisted pair Ethernet cables and I can almost guarantee the flakiness will likely disappear!Ideally I'd be triggering through Artnet but it's still a bit flakey...

you could get a presentation clicker, one which has a lot of buttons.Benjaminn wrote:Cheers Raven, they are already mapped to Q W E R T Y but unfortunately it's not a lot of help in this particular venue as the control booth doesn't have any spare desk space so having to locate another keyboard isn't the easiest thing... they are keyboard emulators, a simple one would have pageup pagedown, B, (F5+esc alternatig),
you could map these keys, and have the clicker in your hand.
or you can get numeric usb keyboards, surely there is a 10cm x 10cm empty space on that desk.
