If I go with the 1080 GPU, and the X4, are each of the X4 individually assignable in resolume? So I will have 8 separate assignable outs in resolume if I go with 2 X4. And because there is another output on the 1080, I have more expansion room.
I would recommend going with the Fx4 rather than the X4 but either way, each Datapath will show up in Resolume as a display. You program the Datapath EDID and assign the 4 outputs directly in the unit.
How do I now handle inputs, would like to be sdi.
Why? Is that because you can go a long distance?

I would like to take in live cameras, the ones we have and rent are sdi. Also it's our industry standard input. I can convert anything to and from it.

Some of my inputs will be Mac's and some will be cameras.

How does a resolume handle a decklink quad or even two of them for inputs. I won't use them as outputs.

Decklink used for input are different and I have had very good luck with multiple SDI intake from cameras on corporate shows. You can expect about 2-3 frames of latency (~50ms at 59.94).

How has you luck been with 2 decklink input cards, say 4 cam inputs and 4 computer inputs?

What your opinion on the 980TI or the 1080 or the Titan X. Each will have 2 or 3 DP FX4 on them.

The maximum I typically do is 4 inputs and that works perfectly. When I use live cams I tend to turn my system around and feed the resolume output into a switcher to get the live cams on the screens with minimal delay.

I haven't had a chance to test the 1080 yet but I've used GTX980-4GB for quite some time and never had an issue. I understand the 1080 is even better so I plan to build our next few servers using that.

Hi to all!
Is anybody have positive experience with more than 4 inputs from decklink quad 2 into resolume? 4 works great, but it is impossible to add more than 4 sources...
