Routing a visual to a selected output

Greetings to all the seniors here,

would like to seek your assistance on a workflow matter.

I have a canvas size of 2800px x 1344px. I'm using advanced output option.

3x outputs/screens

Each output/screen is 1920px x 1080px.

I have videos that is full size at 2800x1344 as well as video that is at 1920x1080.

My slices are spread out evenly on the canvas and they are routed to output/screen 2 or 3 respectively.

I have a cue where i will be triggering a 1920x1080 video and it needs to be shown on output/screen 1.

But because the slices are all over the canvas, i don't know how to position my video where it will be solely for output 1 and not to output 2/3

I hope i managed to explain it clear enough. Thank you for reading.

I have thought of a workaround and that is to resize the video clip small enough to be fitted at a location of the canvas where there is no slice for output/screens 2/3.

I will then shift and resize my input selection to that position.

However please correct me if i'm wrong, resolume will stretch the video and degrade the quality, if at the output transformation, i scale up the output to fit the full output screen.

Therefore, please advise how i can display the full 1920x1080 video clip on the canvas without resorting to such a method?

Use the layer to slice method.

In the composition:

• create a specific layer for your HD clip - let's call it "1920x1080"
  make sure your clip is sized to 1920x1080
  turn the opacity of that layer to 0%

In the advanced output:

• create a new screen
  assign your Display 1 to it
  adjust the input selection to match your clip
  make sure the output is set to [Whole Area]
  select the "1920x1080" layer as input source
  deselect the [Input Opacity] option

and your clip should now show up on your Display 1
