ignore column trigger with effects
Re: ignore column trigger with effects
You can set (effect) clips to ignore column trigger already.
What would you like to achieve exactly?

ignor column trigger effects
PLEASE PLEASE PLEAS
We need basic controls over "ignor column trigger" clips
it would solve Fade outs, and different " fake timeline " corrections.
Or am i missing some workarounds?
thanks

Re: ignore column trigger with effects
You can eject the layer any time with the Layer's X button, and you can drop new effects to the effect clip also.
You can also animate the opacity of the clip and add an Envelope to it if you want, to delay the fadeout.

Re: ignore column trigger with effects
i have two layers
in lower one i have animated bg
in upper one i have video in loop which needs to be faded out on column trigger,
BUT! our pipeline is not to use layer transitions because they are only 10sec AND everybody needs to remember when and where was the slider moved.
Simple if we want to play show only with one button its impossible to use transition sliders

Re: ignore column trigger with effects
The 10 seconds maximum transition time is indeed not really suited for making very slow fades.
What you can do would be either assigning the upper layer to crossfader and move the crossfader manually with a midi controller, or a lighting board via Artnet,
or create duplicates of the clips in the same layer,
animate the opacity of the first copy of the clip to timeline, and forwards, one shot, set the speed to how fast you'd like your clip to fade in:
and the copy of the clip - to make the fade out, - opacity set to backwards, one shot, and the clip to continue to play from the previous clip's position, and set the opacity speed how fast you'd like your clip to fade out:

Re: ignore column trigger with effects
Yes i understand thanks
but I don't know how to set clip to continue playing from position of previous clip.
actually that's my problem, i want to have next video or clip "ignore column trigger" which plays continuously from the previous video playback but fading out in certain time.
My video is in loop playback and i want to trigger fade in any time
all those magical things around envelopes are perfectly perfect
I am building show in theater and operator have only spacebar to trigger the show.
