Simple Wipe Layer Transition effect

Post by logreybeam »

Hi! any chance of implementing a simple Wipe effect (up/down/left/right) as a layer transition? this would be Super helpful for a set-up i am doing.. i realize i can do similar with an automated crop and an extra layer per region that i want to wipe, but as im sizing layers as individual windows in a large interface that i want each to 'wipe' transition across columns, it would be Much more elegant if wipe was a transition option...
Thanks in advance!?

I built this out as a plugin called "Directional Fade" and it should be on Juicebar (who's website seems to be down atm??). I think it's $5.
Also available here: https://gumroad.com/l/directional_fade_pixel_party

just drag it in like a clip and it will ask you to install. then it will show up as a blend mode. under the blend mode drop down is where you can choose the direction

Got it, Thank you!! Super useful little tool, will definitely come in handy.. don’t suppose there’s a way to adjust the blur size of the wipe point? im basically looking to do hard wipes to simulate a scanning effect, turning a feed to a colorized(etc) version of itself with a simple layer transition. Thanks again

I've uploaded the revision on gumroad. Once we get a small bug fixed in Wire, I'll make the final version without the need for an ISF and then publish that to gumroad and juicebar.
Cheers
