6 Projector Edge Blending with AJA CORVID 88

Post by laserfreak »

Hi,

currently i´m planning a new server to do edgeblending with 6 x 1080p SDI projectors.

My first option would be 1x WATCHOUT Server with AMD W9100+ 6 SDI Converters (expensive)

I really want to use Resolume.
But i´m not sure how to get 6 framesynced outputs (Datapath FX4 SDI is not a option).
Can i get 6 framesynced outputs with the AJA CORVID 88?

Maybe someone has a setup like this with the AJA Card.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi,

i was finaly able to test this setup.
Somehow the playback via the corvid88 is not fluid.
Input capture seems fine. Only output is affected.
Any ideas ?
I also tried different output sizes and framerates.

Make sure they are all sharing the same clock.
I use these cards all the time without any issues.

Hi,

yes but the issue is also present when i only use one channel at all.
i found out, that if set delay to 10ms it "looks" more fluid.
If i set it to 10ms its lagging again.
Also at 0ms its lagging.

When i say more fluid i mean compared to the GUI output.
I use 1080p50 for output to Blackmagic ATEM 8K (also at 1080p50)
I also tried to hook up my projector directly but no change.

Which is firmware+driver are you using?

I use 1 card going directly to the projectors. I set all of the outputs to use the same clock/buffer and this is how i get it to work.
No clue on the driver/firmware, I won't be near that machine for another few months as it's out on a show.

Also check if the watchout server runs smoth with arena, I had a story were the watchout machine doesnt at all liked resolume and it was soo slow and bad i couldnt use it. The parts were powerfull but somehow the watchout setup made it impossible.
