Could anyone suggest a graphics card I could purchase, to solve my problem. Compatible with 2 PCIe 16 slots, I need 4 VGA outputs but that could come in the form of HDMI, DVI-I or VGA itself, I'm struggling to find anything that's not DVI-D! Would upgrading the RAM help at all?

Hi There, I'm trying to output 4x 1080p signals

Ok, but do you really need that?
Scaling down video files, and composition, then switching off Global effects and Blend modes in preferences would improve performance a lot.
You often can even drive 1080p displays at 720p, so upscaling in advanced output would not be necessary.
These would save you a lot of pixel processing.
If your final result will be viewed from a bit farther away, people won't really notice the resolution difference.

as Oaktown wrote Gpu should be the main bottleneck, then with 3x 1080p DXV files next is the HDD.

what are your actual fps now?
don't worry if you don't get 40-50 pfs, if you have stable 25, that should be enough for the viewer.

I am going to experiment with 720p, I've only been aiming for 25fps as it is. The nature of the production is that there are three screens 12x8m which are the sides of a cube the audience sits in so because they're so close to the screens I'm hoping the resolution won't affect the experience.

Can anyone tell me if two of these cards will be adequate for outputting up to four HD signals using Resolume?

Rather than buying 2 old cards like that, I would invest in 1 more recent GPU such as this GTX960. That would give you the 4 HD outputs you need but you'd need to convert DisplayPort to VGA/HDMI/DVI with adapters.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to add at least 2GB of RAM to your computer and make sure you're not using a 5200 rpm HDD.

What kind of motherboard/CPU do you have?
