Well, recommending cameras is a completely different ballgame! I only use professional SDI broadcast cameras so I won't know any good cheap cameras for his setup.

Every DJ cam I've seen come through my stage's for the last year and a half have been this cam:

Not saying it the industry standard, but it's the only DJ cam I've seen.
Not the cheapest option but it's a really nice looking camera.

We used some great sony robo cams on Excision, sent SDI out the back and went through some serious fuckery. Manual focus and iris was great.

Drazkers, you on that run? My old LD touring pal is brought in for the larger shows to do the crowd scanning lasers.
Fun show.
Who is he using for screens? Christie or PRG?

Check the resolume blog in afew weeks for details , but neither for wall.
We use another guy for lasers mainly, we tested out an LD for one show but decided our time code programmer fit better.

I'm going to be bummed if you tour with him and I missed you at the Oklahoma show. Would have loved to grabbed a beer with you.
