I must be doing something wrong, mine does not display over 60 fpsjoshuatanuseputra wrote:Hi guys,
I have been going HAM on a new hardware dedicated for resolume.
Here below are my hardware spec:
1x ASUS Z10PE-d8 WS Mobo
1x Intel Xeon E5-2640v4, 2.4Ghz, Cache 25MB, LGA2011-v3
4x Team DDR4 ECC Reg Server Ram 16GB 2133Mhz (Running 64gb)
1x MSI GTX 1080 Armor 8GB DDR5x 256 bit
and LOADS OF FANS to keep the heat far farrrrrr away!
I wanted to ask, how impressive is running 115 to 140 FPS range consistently with playing and previewing 1920x1080@30p with a DXV 3 codec through the Resolume ui? (it means I am not out putting into any external monitors)
How can I achieve better FPS? Maybe a better GPU with higher VRam and memory bandwidth?
Thanks
Note: I am also running Resolume and its clip(s) on a Samsung SSD 850 PRO 2.5" SATA III 1TB
We like being the North Korean prison wardens of resolume fps. That's gotta be the answer.Joris wrote:If your composition doesn't render higher than 60 fps, it means your monitor is refreshing at 60Hz. This in turn means it cannot display more than 60 frames per second. When rendering at framerates over 60 the excess frames will be simply thrown away.
You're literally making your computer work for nothing.
