I'd like to buy components that works great for resolume. Have been tested.
Still debate it on Quadro P5000 only for scalability purposes. I think the 1080Ti has been tested a lot.
Do you think any specific brand? I heard EVGA has great customer service.

I just quoted a Vector works PC build for a friend last night. These same spec's should work great for you as well.
The only thing you might consider changing is upgrading the GTX1060 to a GTX1080ti for an additional $845 per build.

And maybe going to a 512GB Samsung m.2 960 Pro SSD for your OS drive rather than the SATA. So after removing one of the SATA drives (keeping the second one for content) and adding the m.2, it would come to to an additional $140 per build. (Or maybe go the 1TB route for another $300 per build?)

Personally, for the extra $500, I would go with the Thread Ripper build.
I personally haven't used AMD in many many years, so I'm not sure how well it will play with Resolume, But I wouldn't think a CPU would have much to affect with how an application plays?

P6000 or have a struggle with you're FPS. Especially if you want a COMP closer to native resolution. You may be reaching the PCI-E bandwidth limit.

The P5000 looks pretty comparable to a GTX1080, am I missing something between the P5000 and the P6000 (very possible )

A 1080 can't handle that many outputs with a near native comp with couple layers, it will choke, you need something closer to a 1080ti, the P6000 is even more of a beast. I wouldn't even spec a single machine for something like this normally, i'd suggest D3 or hippo so you could split it.

1080ti, better is P6000 or get ready for subpar FPS.

I did look into 4x4K - D3, $100,000 Hippo $50,000 and Dataton $35,000

I’ll stick to my plan, i9 7900x and 1080Ti base clock (still debate it on brand). Have used ASUS in the past but now there’s a shortage and the price are up.

First of all thank you guys,

I did order today the evga.

Still undecided accordingly with my budget between:

i7 6850k and i7 7800/7820x

If I understand correctly the MHz are relevant therefore the 7820 is faster but has 8 instead of 6 cores and has only 28 lanes instead of 40 as you recommend.

Which should I go for?
