I mean with „Not smooth“ that the Video is stuttering. For example an overfly over a Beach. In normal Media Player, the Video is really smooth. In resolume the stuttering.

Clips Set to Timeline.

Some dips in the FPS when you trigger the Clip, then is goes to normal FPS and in between the Clips it Starts stuttering on no specific Point.

Is DMA textures on or off in the Resolume Video preferences?
Can you try toggling it?

There is no difference by toggle the DMA settings.
I saw that the framerate Drops to about 40FPS from 60fps when I trigger a Clip.

That drop is quite huge with a single clip only.

Does it have any effects on it?
Blur for example can get very heavy easily.

Maybe doing a clean driver install would help, then also let Resolume install the nvidia profile on next start.

Yes that Drop is quite heavy. So I am wondering because there are no effects and only 1 Clip.

Got a hint for me for clean driver install and let resolume do the Rest?

Clean nvidia driver install can be made choosing custom install, and there will be a checkbox for doing a clean install in the next step.

Hi Zoltan,

I gave Resolume a new try after a while with your hint. Done a clean install of Nvidia studio drivers with custon setup, also erased the graphic card drivers but nothing helps. Videos are stuttering and randomly. I dont know whats going on with this program. I've see, if I play 1 cip in full HD a 60fps and open the windowed view, the fps drops to nearly 30fps. I thinkthere is really a mismatch between resolume and my notebook.

got any other hint?

hi! try to set your laptop screen and external display to same refresh rate, for example 60Hz for both...

The XMG pro 15 Notebook gets good reviews. From reading this thread thus far, there's no logical reason that your laptop should be performing so poorly. I mean, up front you stated it can't even display smooth 1920/1080 30fps video smoothly. That's simply fuct. My old 2017 i7 HP laptop works fantastically with 1080 mov files, and that laptop wasn't specifically built for VJ.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that there's a possibility that you purchased a defective laptop. Do you (or a friend) have another laptop you can use (demo load) to test your files at the 30fps frame rate?

Following this thread as I have the same issue.

Just built a $2600 custom PC using Nvidia 3070 TI and believe I should be well above the performance requirements yet my 1080p clips are very choppy when I look at the display. Will try syncing the refresh rate between the monitor and PC to see if that fixes things.
