Unforunately I still have the same problem, I guess I have to get rid of Vista and install XP on my lappy:cool:

By the way does anybody know if there are external video cards through USB available? I am not talking about a monitor splitter!

Bart I hope Resolume will soon be 100% compatible, in case I ever buy a new PC with Vista pre-installed.

:P Finally I have Resolume working on my pc, it turned out that the Resolume version 2.0 was causing a lot of trouble, so I upgraded to Resolume 2.4 and now the program runs flawlessly, although I haven`t yet tried to output the 2nd display.

Thank you guys for all the good advice, it has deffinately additional value, I think all the small aspects together make a big difference.

Cheers Seb

Just wondering if there is any news on the Vista front?
Anyone else got it working yet?
Currently looking at getting a new laptop, but the
one i'm looking at, comes vista built in.
Any advice.. Might still go ahead and get it, and just
keep my old laptop for resolume for the time being.

Ok, I've managed to run reslume on my home PC:
Vista Ultimate 64bit
K-Lite 64 bit driver pack
Resolume 2.41
Tripple monitor

without any problems:

Now, my suggestion is that you modify the shortcut rather than editing global windows graphical settings ( its easier and faster ):

Thanks for the tips but still struggling with 2.4 and the dreaded Vista! I've made all the suggested chages but every time I try to change the screen settings to output my images my laptop crashes.

I 've had to go back to running Resolume 1.5 but that's not really an the best option for live work.

Any new suggestions?

I had the same problem with my friends laptop running Vista and the 2.4 demo, every time I tried to setup an output to a tv monitor the laptop restarted itself. The laptop is a cheap model with an integrated graphics card so I downloaded the latest drivers from Intel and I was able to setup Resolume's outputs without any problems at all. That was the first and only time I have updated drivers and actually fixed a problem!

Hi,
I know this is an old topic, but I've just signed up...

I have a new laptop that came with vista home premium ready-to-use, no installation disc and it won't let me downgrade to XP, I am experiencing a lot of the problems mentioned above, but also, when I load up I keep getting this message...
Image

after clicking continue 6 times, resolume runs, but crashes after 3-5 minutes, often when I try to load clips which I know work with resolume on my old XP comp. (very old, very slow piece of junk hehe).
I had tried setting the display to windows classic theme, hence the old school dialouge box, anyway, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated!

I am running Resolume 2.41 in Vista and the only problem is no Flash support.

I recently bought a new laptop a SONY VAIO AR 61 , 2 gig of memory, 200GB harddrive, NVIDA Geforce 8400M GT GPU, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 1.66ghz and vista.

I installed Resolume and to be fair it is running ok the only problem I have is when playing more than 2 clips at a time. It seems to run perfect with 2 clips layering over eachother but somthimes slows way down with three and even crashes.

Also I have found that a good 3 -4 clips from the demo footage do not play at all .

Any ideas what might be happening?
