Correct, your video card as long as its sufficent is fine, Geforce 6600GT wouldnt batter an eyelid, nevermind anything higher. Only reason i have gone for a Quadro FX3500M is cause i use Adobe Production Suite and will be handy for that (afftereffects)

yeah ive found that a cheap crappy card doesnt cut it but smething with 256mb will do fine. i have a few ati's that are 256mb and all good! no problems!

never tried nvidia but will someday :)

I'd say stick with ati, Better engineered cards and the new 8 series from Nvidia doesnt even comply to Vista/DirectX10 fully cause they cut corners. ATI's does, although there having a few teething problems with the drivers (loosing about 25%+ performance) that wont take long fix. While Nvidia still havn't been able make a reliable good set of drivers after 6 months due to the card not being 100% functional.

Nvidia cut corners and are just good at marketing, same as intel, although intel for the first time in a long time do have the edge over AMD. But AMD will have a proper 4-Core chip out soon unlike intel's 'fake' Quad Core
