Based on the assumption that you already have a working Resolume machine, the cheepest solution I've found for video mixing (in the UK) is to capture the source into the resolume machine with one of these[1] and mix it in using the VideoCapture Source. If you want to use an external switcher, then you need to make sure that it supports Frame synchronisation or the Projector will go nuts most times you switch source (which looks unprofessional to say the least!)

Something like a TV-tuner would also work? (if it has a composite input)
Or would an USB-video card be better?
Thanks!

No reason why a TV tuner with Composite in wouldn't work. I chose the USB option as I run resolume on a laptop, so don't have the option of pci cards. I didn't look into a USB tv tuner though, but again no reason it shouldn't work -- it's all similar technology.

Ok,
yesterday I bought this one:
http://tven.terratec.net/modules.php?op ... le&sid=239
Went on trying, an actually got it to work. My DVD "51st state" came through in resolume.
Only one problem, the video is not streaming at all. How do I say that, real shokky, not smooth, not flowing, not....you get it?
Someone has an answer to this one?
Currently I'm trying to install the latest drivers...

I initially had problems with the supplied drivers -- low capture resolution, and jerkiness in resolume, that was solved by getting updated drivers -- in my case on plugging my device into a different usb port windows re-detected it, and I selected the "check windows update for new drivers" option. For the device I have it found new drivers, which seem to work a lot better.
I have also know some people to have problems when streaming video using the onboard USB on a laptop, although not seen this personally.

Ehm, don't exactly know what you mean?
In resolume I can only select the one capture driver, and that shows the movie. I can't set anything I guess?

If you double click the source in the sources list it gives you access to the device parameters.
