How freely can one control it by OSC (or MIDI) commands? For example can i use the Wiimote+GlovePie and move the layers around? Jump between the columns or snap to beats... ?
Difficult to say because it depends on the GPU on your videocard, the cpu and the hard-drives. All we can can say now is that Avenue runs fantastic on the MacBook Pro and that the days of 320x240 vj-ing are definitely over, it's 640x480, PAL and up from now on. More details coming soon.gpvillamil wrote:Any specs on what kind of resolutions and framerates are possible?
Not within the app, but you can do this from any other midi sequencing software or hardware.Any way to script/automate?
Yes if you already own resolume 2 then the upgrade is 119 euro.Best option if I already have Resolume 2 is the upgrade, at EUR 119, right?
You can do this from any midi sequencer but not within Avenue.jandybala wrote:Can you play the columns 1-9 as a pattern?
Yes, synchronising video to the BPM clock works the same as in Resolume 2.incuf wrote:will there still be the number of beats assignment for clips?
In the first coming Avenue release you will be able to play Quartz compositions by exporting them as quicktime movies. We are very excited about generative content so we will add native support for .qtz-files and manipulating the exposed parameters in the (not so distant) future.slof wrote:Amazing guys! Just a quick question about Quartz Composer compatibility. Can i play .qtz-files in Resolume 3 on a Mac and assign controllers just like in VDMX ?
