i'm running 720x486 video footage and 320 x 240 flash files at 640x480 resolution on the second output, not DVD-Max of course. playback slows down a bit with 3 layers but i usually only use 2 anyway.

imho 400x300, gives way better quality than 320x240. But that's perhaps because of the scanny's we use. Esp. jagged edges often seen in your 320 material, melt like ice, great!
Some1 asked about full dv. We used full dv @ amsterdam arena, but even on 8x6 sq. metres it doesn't add much. (P4-3ghz). And Some overlay settings are NOT happy with the dv codec. So we'll stick to 400x300 indeo. (We keep the dv's sources for the future

i agree - 400x300 will look better than 320x240, but as mentioned earlier in this thread, the matrox cards have a "smooth output" function (basically a hardware anti-aliasing filter) that smoothes the output - we get no jaggies with 320x240 movies using this function.
