You can already do manual MIDI mapping, just go into mapping mode, right-click the element that you want to assign and select either Create Note or Controller shortcut.
Awesome, that is super helpful. No way to do it in Res 2.4?

No it's not possible in version 2.

Thanks for the tutorial guys! I'm pretty much a newbie here (so apologies if my questions are too basic). I've been using both Avenue and Live separately but thinking about combining them for a while. Anyone reading this who has experience of doing audiovisual remixes of music videos using RA and Live together, do you prefer to leave the sampled audio (from the original music video) in RA or do you always put the corresponding audio sample into Live?
I've been trying to sample some old audiovisual footage for my AV sets to do live remixes but the sound recordings on the videos I'm sampling often tend to be of poor quality. So I'm often having to clean up the sound (in Wavelab) and then synch it back to the respective video clip in Final Cut. Using Live with RA I'm hoping I can save a bit of time and use just those two packages. Has anyone else been doing this with RA and Live. Do you have any tips?

I have a big latency while linking parameters from Live to avenue. When I adjust parameter with midi controller from PC(live8) and send midi to avenue on macbook pro I get big (1 second) delay. It's not that smooth like I do it with mouse.I send all midi notes from two controllers via CME midi interface connected from audio hardware to macbook. Midi Dummys sequencing works just fine. Any suggestions ?

I have exactly the same problem ! I'm running Live 8.1.3 on a MacBook Pro under 10.6.4 and Resolume Avenue 3.3.0 on a MacBook under 10.6.4, both Laptops connected via MIDI.
I hope you have a suggestion/solution !

Unfortunately everybody has this problem because Live does not forward the MIDI messages quick enough when it's controlled by MIDI. A workaround is to split the midi from the midi device and send it straight to Live and Avenue.

Hey I'm trying to connect a Windows 8.1 + Resolume 5 and OSX Yosemite + Ableton Live 9 to share the same midi controller. Not sure if this is the best approach or even possible but I'm trying to trigger audio and video at the same time with this setup. Both computers have an audio interface with midi ins/outs. I'm trying to link up the computers and found this thread, but the link doesnt work. Gives me 404.
