hi,

A delay upto 300frames (~5 seconds) is possible on my machine (512MB VRAM). Everything above leads to a very poor fps rate (5-10 fps) I guess that's where the data is shifted to the host's RAM. If you are interested in testing the 300 frame version, just send me a PM.

Bart, Edwin, is there a chance to see this as a native Resolume feature in the future - I think this makes sense, as it allows much better control on playback parameters (timeline/bpm/loop/etc.) when it's supported natively.
How do you see this? Just as in delaying frames in a video stream, or as in having a variable offset on any slider element?

BTW, if you have a working FFGL plugin for the delay, I'm sure many people (including us) would like to take a peek as well ;-)

delaying the frames in a video stream. Then it's possible to use the frames (which are waiting in the buffer) to scratch and loop (using BeatLoopr for example) - hmmm now I've confused myself

You can see FFGL fx's IR CosmicPack on my site. In this pack almost all fx are frame buffer for the delay effect.

for the "IR Array of Boxes" have preset "Time jitter", perhaps this is what you want.
