In Resolume 4 and 5, you can hit the right and left arrow keys to trigger the next and previous clips in the active layer. You can use up and down arrow to switch active layers. And you can use Shift + arrow keys and Enter to cycle through the deck and trigger clips.

Next and Previous Column and Next and Previous Clip per layer are coming in a future release.

What would be great in the sequencing would be the facility to use pictures within it - for use as blenders and masks for other layers etc. This means that the sequencer would need a time feature so you could easily set how long each picture was on for.
