hi,
resolume 2 looks like it has good functions,my only criticism is the coulors, can we use alternative coulor setups because pink and grey is not attractive, the green was very cool and easy to read.(the new coulors look like they are trying to be neon) other than hat,i cant wait!(if i can get another coulor interface)

Excellent, looks like it will be mostly wanted in 2.0.
It would be cool if you added support for colour themes - I'm not a fan of pink and with only the need of a settings in the preferences for 3 colour options (background / main bits / selection) and a wheel or even hex input box. People could make a resolume to the colour of their liking... eitherway Pink is a bit of an ask to force on ALL users.
- The improved display options (being able to preview AND output to the 2nd monitor) - !!!!
- I'm not sure if 2.0 features it but to be able to open a default deck on startup would be handy - with tabs I'm imagining people will start having one huge deck allowing easy access to all your clips, maybe even an add directory (similar to motiondive 3 & tokyo).
- you don't mention anything on preformance? will Resolume 2 run better / need higher specs? have you optimized anything (hyperthreading/Direct 3D/GPU acceleration)
Anyway being able to see something is awesome and we're looking forward to using it.

I have been using resolume since it first became available. With version 1.5 there was huge improvement and I started thinking of all the things Resolume could have. With 2.0 all those things are now in there.
Network output, does that mean streaming over the internet and networks?
What are the three windows on the left of the picture anyway?
Do we all get those bruce lee clips in your pictures too?

OpenGL acclerated rendering would be nice.

a few replies:
- the tabs and multiple effects will be midi controlable
- openGL excellerated rendering is not an option yet because then all rendering is done on the videocard and to then get that data back to the system memory for streaming on the network or harddisk recording is very slooowww
-v2 requires the same hardware as v1.51 does
-network streaming is in theory possible over the internet but it requires a LOT of bandwith because we are sending raw videoframes over the network ... this bandwith is not a problem on a LAN
-the three boxes on the left are the 3 possible effect slots .. these are only vissible with a 1280 minimum screen resolution ... on 1024 the three effect slots are tabbed above the file browser
- we love the gray/pink colour palette and we like a bit of controversy

Looks great to me.
LOL about the pink controversy.
If it works well (and especially if the speed bug is fixed), we'll use it no matter what colour it is
