Unfortunately we can't bundle Kinect plugins with the software. We'd really love to do this and actually have a bunch of cool stuff lying around. But Microsoft doesn't allow people to package plugins based on the Kinect SDK with non-open source software.

How can we ever expect audiences and promotors to recognize the value of having a dedicated video operator if the VJs themselves are just randomly throwing pixels around?
...because only we are able to setup the RANDOMIZER.

i wonder if windows would allow a licence for resolume to bundle kinect plugins with the software in the near future i know a licence of this sort could be very pricey so maybe have a donations request id be glad to donate a few quid towards it

at the moment im using various kinect hacks & xbox kinect hack for pc to integrate into resolume only problem theres not a lot of technical support doing it this way. so yeah im all for the getting a licence & kinect for windows route. its defently worth enquiring about & i would like to see what the rest of the resolume community thinks :D

more sources or generative fx could be very interesting. Lines are very useful , but I would like to have more choice, especially if you are using resolume for windows, so no quartz composer.

take a look at this: http://www.splash.xy01.net/ it seems to be very interesting .

the possibility of modulations in resolume are infinite ( speed, midi, random) so with few parameters, you can have a a lot of choice, and the rest of fx could help a lot too.

another suggestion:

turn video into painting, drawingd et cartoons. it could be an great and elegant addition to the resolume FX.I'm using more an more fotosketcher , and have some fantastic results in my opinion.

here is a link :

desired plugIns, ordered by importance:

Tritone/Tritonus (like in After Effects .. would be necessary to do some Color Grading live)

Recorder/Sampler (like Alex Mays fugVideoSampler did in FF1.0 days)

CMYK Halftone (as suggested by Babcom)

Oh and:

Saturation should do what the name implies - or be renamed to Desaturate ..
