ok, the real requirement with xp seems to be that you need to use the original (vfw) drivers rather than the win xp video capture drivers (wdm -these may be reversed).
Have a read of this link if you want to see if this is the reason you are having trouble...

About Webcam DV: I haven't got it - what advantage does it have over simply capturing DV stream in Resolume? It seems it's just a soft for live streaming from DV signal.
BTW have anyone used Orange Micro Firewire or USB2 webcam with Resolume? It must be much better than ordinary USB webcam.

I mentioned elsewhere that i have a lifeview tv tuner card and it works fine in Resolume, I can even have TV channels feed it. Has practically no cpu overhead - I'm wondering how that compares to usb and firewire. Pretty low cost on eBay. Just look for a tvtuner with VFW drivers.
I wouldn't supposed a webcam package exists with a video input?

I have Canon ZR80 DV Cam,only connection to PC is the FireWire port.How I can use like webcam in SkyPe? Send me some ideas in e-mail please....

I have a Panasonic DV camera, if i keep the dv door open it will not go in to power save mode.
