I wonder why it isn't working for you. :\
It does work here for me with the codec. (XP SP2 machine)

just been producing some clips and rendering them with DXV codec to see if it helps with my stability issue and have noticed that when I view them in quicktime player it crashes quicktime. Is this expected?

As DXV is a quicktime codec I think that is not expected at all

No crashes here...
On what OS are you working? 32 bit/64 bit? Win/mac?

Not sure that the codec should be crashing Quicktime player.
However, playing DXV video files in quicktime player is not really the way to go - DXV files will not work properly with software that doesn't know how to do the on-GPU decompression that DVX uses.

I was just using quicktime as a quick check to see how the files loop. The crashes won't affect my work just thought it may be worth mentioning.

here on winxp32/64 quicktime plays the videos fine

and really awesome in resolume, just tried 11 (!) layers with some effects on a overclocked E5200, 2gb ram and ati 4670, 1hd 500gb 7200 rpm, 30 fps constant

BIG up!

just out of curiosity, what did you have the composition resolution set at? and what resolution were the videos you played?

Quicktime should certainly not crash when playing a DXV file, could you please send this file to us so we can see if we can reproduce this? mail-at-resolume-dot-com

sry forgot that, was running PAL (720x576) and used my converted footage which is 400x300 up to 800x600 without problems... also bigger (longer) files were no problem so far!
tried the clips on my laptop on resolume2, also works but not very fast (3 layers won't run smooth), but it works

i did'nt tried a multiscreen or hd composition yet cause must convert videos before in higher resolution, but i think 3 layers shoult also run in higher resolution without problems...
