Agreed !

DXV rocks . Last weekend I performed at an all night Psy Party in Toronto using all newly rendered 720p clips on twin LCDs . I wish the TVs were bigger but the images looked fantastic.
I dont know if it has anything to do with the codec but the FX are amazingly fast too, Avenue just kept pumping out a smooth fps as I loaded in layers and effects all over the place. It allows me to go so deep I nearly got lost in there.

:D

Yes the best thing in 2009 is DXV codec, my vote :D
The only dab is the rendel time, in ae it is so slow that i have doing like this.
I rendel quiktime whit out any compress by none and in MPEG Streamclip i codec the file, this way it is fast.
I dont know if MPEG Streamclip codec dxv faster but it feels faster.

I like to see that boys in resolume make dxv Batch Export Utility like livid.
Livid Batch Export Utility has same problem like ae it is slow, and i just made 1200 quicktimes in dxv and in my macbook pro it was take 2 days 8-)
I dont know way in my mac pro the livid Batch Export Utility is not working so i have to made in the book pro.

Hi, i'm very impressed by the performances of the dxv codec.
Maybe is one of the best innovation, along with the audio, of R3.
Now i can handle 3 layers in full hd.
Bart could you please tell me if the codec uses a lossless compression?
Thanks

No, it's lossy, if you want lossless compression you can use "uncompressed".

DXV doesn't happen to support an alpha layer/Millions of Colors+ does it?

We are working on the DXV alpha support. The tests look promising.
So DXV with alpha support is on his way.

sometimes i use sorenson squeeze but the dvx codec is not recognized by sorenson squeeze.
thank you in advance.

I have tested several, Livid Export Utility is free and seems to work fine. Apple compressor also works good for DVX. Adobe media encoder gave me glitches when encoding DVX files. More info about that here:
