The basics work like a dream but I have some basic issues/questions (sorry, I'm a VJ noob....)
Can I set vids to auto resize? I know I should have them all in 640x480, but I don't yet. smaller vids don't scale up like they do in Resolume 2
AVIs don't play, but avis do...?
I get red flickering on loads of my vids, an issue i didn't have with Resolume 2...?
Thanks for any info/tips!

Resolume Avenue is great . I really like the UI for video clips. Intuitive indeed.
It kinda remind me of VidVox Grid2 for windows I used .

It gets the image, but its a still. only when you move it to the interface screen it wil start to move... very strange... (this only in windowed mode when a small part of the output is also on the main desktopscreen) fullscreen output to 2nd screen wont work at all here.
When using the advanced tab and click one of the two monitors, resolume crash!
specs:
Intel 8core , OS: XP64bit pro.
Graphics: NVidia8800GT
2nd screen output set to 800x600
I encountered the crash when I'm in ScreenSetup, but I noticed the crash happens when I select both Display 1 and 2.
At first I had problems using dual screen. Having only active (non-still frame) output occur only if the UI screen is residing on the same monitor or screen. Then I discovered by making a selection from the Output menu , dual screen worked out okay afterall. Was wierd but I got dual-screen to work.
But you need to avoid making dual selection in ScreenSetup.
Off the topic:
Text input. How do I get it? I was looking for FFGL plugins but can't find none that works. Petes FreeFrame plugz i've tried I guess is outdated.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The old Freeframe plugins (FF 1.0) won't work but new ones are in the making and those new ones will be even better and faster of course.
Just wondering if you guys (Bart / Edwin) have any concrete idea of when we will start to see Freeframe 1.5 plugins available from the various groups who write them?
Once the wow factor of all the great things you can do with Avenue starts to die down (which it hasn't yet!!!) you start to think - hey I can't use that effect that I used in my last event anymore!
Thanks

We know that all major FF developers are working on FFGL 1.5 plugins but we do not know when they will release anything, but feel free to contact you favorite FF developer and ask

hi guys,
as I said in another post: nice work for now.
I think that, though I did just play around for some short minutes, everything looks way cool and fresh and will be fun to use.
Actually there´s just one prob, that makes me see r3 as not of real use for me: nearly half of my stuff is flashbased. is there any period of time you can tell until the release of a flash- featured avenue?
I just mean... are you talking about days, weeks or month?
Another one is: is there any starter- tutorial or documentation for coding FFGL- Plugs you know? I was thinking about the possibility to port some of the R2 - plugins like Halftone and Delay RGB, which i use very often, but actually i don´t really know, where to start.
Cheers, Cznickesz

Flash: As soon as we get it to work like we want we will release it. It's been a bit harder to get Flash to work then it was before, so a.s.ap is all i can say.
FFGL: For developing FFGL plugins have a look here:
http://freeframe.org (general info)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeframe/ (download sdk)
Creating delay plugins though is quite hard in OpenGL i'm afraid. There is not really a lot of memory available on most videocards to store the previous frames. If not i would have ported them myselves allready as i really dig delay plugins.
