Hello,
I have a macbook pro 2.3GHz, RAM 8go with regular sata internal drive. I am wondering if a external Thunderbolt hard-drive (like this http://www.buffalotech.com/products/por ... underbolt/) could be a way to optimize performances? anyone can help?

it's a 5400 rpm hard drive, notice at the bottom how it says "**Speeds shown represent maximum interface connection speeds. Actual device transfer speeds will vary based on hard drive specifications and host devices." so it's actually going to be very slow. Just purchase an internal SSD for your Macbook, that will give you the speed you need.

Thank you Phil,
I can't see the 5400rpm information but I trust you. The problem i have with SSD is that my actual internal hard drive is 500Go and is always full of things... so moving to a smaller one is not a real solution...
I'll keep thinking about it :)
