Recording video clip under 4.1.3 rev 5290 in Windows 7

Hi All,

First post to forum.

I am trying to record a video clip in Avenue (4.1.3 rev 5290 in Windows 7 Ultimate) with Quicktime 7.7.3 installed.

When I press the record button, it states "Recording could not start! Make sure you have Quicktime version 7.6 or higher installed"

Erm. It is ... :-/

Can anyone shine a light on this, as I have a music video clip I would very much need to use Resolume Avenue to construct!

Thank you all,

OK. I seemed to have solved this. Any Windows 7 users out there that have installed iTunes and then thought I really don't need this, then think ahead and do not uninstall "Apple Application Support" because it breaks Quicktime as well,

Thank you for your attention,

Oh dear,

No, I thought I'd solved it - but perhaps only partially.

I'm now getting the "Record" function to work without error, but it appears to save the session in 2 seperate files - a WAV file for audio, and a silent Quicktime file for the video. Is this what is meant to happen? If so why?

Thank you again all,

Regards,

OK Tried this a second time.

Video and audio play flawlessly under Avenue (when it adds the recorded clip to a layer), but in the file system I have 1 WAV audio file and 1 silent Quicktime video only file :-(

Surely if I press record then Avenue should put both video and audio in the same Quicktime container & file?

Thanks & Regards,
