Serious playback glitches in 4.1.3

Hi ...

Was using a R4.1.3 on Win7x64 at a live gig tonight, running on an HDMI connection (though a DVI converter) and the longer Resolume was running the more glitches we observed. We weren't sure where in the system the fault might occur - on the laptop or in Resolume, or somewhere in the system.

I was running up to 4 video layers. The video clips were either DXV or PhotoJPEG MOVs and the glitches happened with just those clips running and also when some flash clips were playing as well. Glitches also occurred with no clips playing, but at the end of the set once all the layers have been cleared.

The glitches appeared as blocks of previously played clips playing on top of the currently playing clip. It seemed that the "previously played" clips in question were those most recently played, as if previously played clips were held in memory, and were being written to the screen momentarily.

The glitches did not appear, I don't think, in the Output Monitor in Resolume, so the problem seems to occur somewhere between Resolume's summed output and the LED screen.

Obviously there's a lot of links in this chain, but we're examining all the links in the chain to see what might be going on.

Has anyone else experienced this? We'd value your experience and suggestions.

Cheers
Richard

So your using clips with different codecs. This could be the issue.

Make sure everything is DXV.

Also update to 4.1.4 - I'm not saying this will cure your playback issues but there may be a bug fix that can help.

Lastly there are a few threads relating to playback. have you checked those?

Hmmm ... I'm thinking graphics drivers myself. Will check for other threads.
