Hello there!!!
There is so much information out there regarding GPU´s.
I´m just looking for a way to keep things simple (regardless we can have an endless debate about this matter).

It´s quite confusing all specs on GPU... some seem great for gaming performance but it seems that these aspect dont mean it would be great for resolume performance (3 outputs and above... many pixles.. etc.)

So; from my point of view, these are the specs more differente between GPU´s. Which is more important according to resolume performance? Many GPU´s have very similar specs, but mostly with a difference on only one of them. In my case, i´m trying to choose between GTX690 and GTX680 (4 gB version). But the only difference between them (from the ones I put below) is the number of CUDA cores... is this spec much important?

- Core clock
- Boost clock
- Cuda cores
- Effective memory clock
- memory interface (bits)

cuda is important for video rendering IF the software is able to utilize it

I'm pretty sure resolume isn't....but if you're doing anything with something like after effects, CUDA will speed up render times considerably

I'd go with the 680 over the 690, considering you'll only be utilizing one of the gpus on the card which seems like a bit of a waste considering it's double the price

if you want to step up from the 680, go with a gtx titan...basically the same card, just faster, and twice as expensive

Those were a few details I wasn´t aware about.
For the last 2 years I´ve been working with EVGA GTS 450. Only has 192 cuda cores, 1 gb and 128 bits. So far works great with resolume, using up to 6 outputs (2 tripleheads connected).
Renders in after effects take a while, but nothing terrible.
So, I believe jumping to the GTX 690 would be an unnecesary waste at this moment.
If you´re right (and you seem to be), going with the gtx 680 would be more accurate.

A good rule of thumb is not using dual gpu cards because Resolume seems to have some issues with dual GPU cards. I ran into random crashes when a team member brought a server with a test 6990 in the machine instead of our old standard 7970. We're using GTX 680's now and its been great on render times and Resolume performance/stability.

I'll be building three systems later this year all using the 680 4gb, unless the price of the titan drops to something a little more reasonable

Titan has terrible opengl performance for the cost tho. Its Cinebench opengl benchmark is way below a 7970(55fps vs 79fps I think), my only complaint with the gtx 680 is the noticeable performance hit i took in resolume compared to the 7970 OC. Its pretty well documented that opengl is hindered so as not to cut into the quadro market. Although all my nervous tics have vanished thanks to the stability in the gtx 680.

I got both cards, and due to the bigger amount of ram and the wider memory bus in real highend setups the Titan blows the 7970 card away.

You cant compare cinebench with DXV performance
