Sync three different Resolume

Hi, we are currently developing a project where we have to make a projection with ten different projectors. Since we can’t use a single computer, we decided to use three different computers. One of them is going to manage two projectors and the other two are going to manage four different projectors. Therefore we need to sync three different Resolume because we’re going to project the same video into all the projectors.
We have been checking different ways to do it and we have find that it is possible to use MIDI and Apleton Live. But we are not so sure to use any of these applications because we think that those are more useful to control the sound more than to sync different Resolumes.

So my question is do you have any ideas or solutions to syn three different Resolumes? We have to launch the application in each computer at the same time in order to have all the projections at the same time. :?:

Thanks a lot! ;)

I do this all the time with DMX...

And I have the servers already built...want to hire in someone to take care of it for you? Haha

How about using a single computer with a graphics expansion module from Datapath or Pixell. Using multiple Datapath dl8 distribution amplifiers, you can go much beyond 10 outputs.

NOTE: I have not tried it myself but it should work.

Sorry! Something that I missed, the resolution of the video we are going to project is: 4096 x 768. Therefore we need either to obtain a card which support ten outputs and also support the change of each video without being slow or we need an application which offers synchronize the three Resolume in different computers.

Thanks! I hope somebody can help us :)

That's a relatively small resolution, you're not going to have much of an image across your projectors after cutting it into 10 pieces which may look very odd on your screens once you've mapped it out as each screen will be at a very non-standard aspect ratio and depending on the projectors they may try to rescale it

You could do one machine with something like 3x gtx 680 in it to get enough outputs, since your resolution requirements are relatively low it shouldn't effect your performance, although you'll need one serious system to support that kind of pci video card requirement

Need a lot more info on your setup/the extent of your project to advise on the best way to do it.

A far as sync goes, dmx will work (arena only) as long as you have a lighting console that can output artnet
