Mapping MIDI with Novation SL MKII

Hey guys,
Hope everyone is doing well.
After using Akai APC40 for the last 2yrs, i thought of changing and getting something a bit more lighter, and i got the Novation SL MKII. After linking it to my Mac, i realized no MIDI signal is being sent from the MIDI controller unless i click on the button "Automap", which practically was turning it off. But the negative point here is that i can not flip through pages or have different pages based on the layer and the effect i create on each layer, in my Resolume. It's more like i have only what i have on the MIDI (buttons/ nods/ sliders) for all my Resolume with all it's layers and effects.
After not finding anything useful on Resolume Forum (yet
), I tried to dig into this from Novation side, and i downloaded few of the applications they share on their website, and one of them was updating the OS of the SL MKII, which i did. But still, no MIDI signal was being sent to Resolume when i simply turn the SL MKII "ON". I also got to the point where i can create my own map from an application which they provided online. But since i'm not that into MIDI signals and how things work, i thought of keeping that as my last option.
The question is: does anyone use the Novation SL MKII? and if yes, can you kindly help me out on how you're running your Resolume with it?
Thanks in advance,
VJ Mosig
