Need ideas how to map this

Hello everybody,
in 2 weeks we have a gig, where we want to build this stage mapping installation - it's Tripplehead around 10 to 3 meters. My question is, whether you have a good idea to map this setup. The problem I'm facing with Resolume with almost any overlapping structure is that I can't apply masks on layers or masking the input, while the others are mapping such a setup with MapMapper without any problems. Sometimes I find workarounds but in this case I want it to be exact.

Hopefully some of you have proposals or experiences that they want to share.

Thx,
ben

I assume each color in your picture is a different 'screen'?

If so, let me think about this for a bit and get back to you...there's always a way to do things!

Why don't you separate each color to a single png and make it a mask in layered order?

To add masks to layers you just drag the png to the layer. I run into alot of guys who don't realise that you can add unique masks to each layer just by dragging the png onto the layer controls in the layer tab area.

If you're just straight on projecting that would solve everything. Then route each layer or the composition to a slice and warp it to fit the structure.

If you hitting this from multiple angles and mapping depth this method probably won't work so well.

Yep that works.....no idea layer masking was so simple haha....I'm gonna have some fun with this :)

Hey drazkers,
thx for the response. I recently found out about the strenght of layer masks in combination with mapping - actually I wanted to to a little post about it in close future regarding another stage setup with overlapping circles we had a few weeks ago. I didn't realised that this could be also the solution for this setup. And probably it'e even more simple by just stacking aquared slices without making layer masks (I am then not sure about performance), because of course u need to make corrections in every square as the will be build by hand and are not as accurately as in the blueprint.
