hmmm.. will you use this imac on serveral different jobs? or will you buy it for one specific location? and if yes... what kind of clips you are going to play (resolution, amount simultaneously)?

Yes, will use it for several different jobs. Mostly used resolution is 1920x1080 composition, up to 7 layers for now. Sometimes need to play clip with sound. only use 1 output, to the datapath .

In this case I would recommend you an iMac with a better graphic card. There are iMac's available with the GTX 660M, GTX 675MX or GTX 680MX.
Greetings

EDIT//
I would also recommend you a SSD!

You'll find the gtx cards only in their 27" iMac.
I don't know if it is possible to run resolume on an airbook.

Resolume will start up with the Macbook Air, but forget about 7 layers or anything at 1920x1080.

Or using the Advanced Output. Or the chroma key effect.
In fact, we suggest to just forget about using Resolume with a Macbook Air.
