I don't know why I havn't posted about this before.. but its been a long standing issue that every now and then the equilivant to the CTRL ket gets virtually stuck while in Resolume and then the computer is stuck in multi selection mode and I cant get out of it.. It requires a computer restart.. Im not sure what triggers.... and once it happens its system wide and the same behavior in the windows file system

It was happening back in Resolume 3.. and became much less in v4.. but its happening a bit more latley.. And this is not just one device.. Its happening on different machines..

Like I said.. its rare.. but it requires a computer restart and thats a real problem.. It probally happens once per two shows (thru the run of programming plus show usage)..

Does anyone else experience this? I'd love to wipe this bug out..

i7 machines..
16gb ram on all machines..

This happend to me too from time to time....

i think you mean shift key is stuck...

one solution expect rebooting the system is:
press ctrl, shift (on both sides) and hold shift all together and it should work for at least a few klicks

Ahhh.. no I think (and thinking about this as I type).. Its a CTRL stick not SHIFT.. Shift would mass select things in groups.. while CTRL is individual selection.. (At least on a PC)..

I could be wrong.. I will have to observe closer next time it happens.. Either way.. I will try your suggestion. (I'm not sure what holding it down on both sides does though.. Holding down two ctrl keys just acts as one)

This is a particularly elusive little bug that we managed to stomp for the 4.1.7 release.

Turns out that when you tell Windows to not activate the screen saver when Resolume is running, it will do this by pretending to press the SHIFT key from time to time.

Which will then get stuck if you accidentally press it at the same time.

Sigh.
