Hi all

Is there a way to continuously rotate an image like a JPEG? (like rotating a GOBO in an ML)

Also

Is there a way to eliminate a layer form the composition...
e.g. Layer 1 and 2 make a composition and go full screen (slice 1)
Layer 3 is set to its own slice (slice 2) to make a PIP but does not get included in the composition.

At the moment when I load a clip into layer 3 it is also included in the full screen

Rotation; click the little triangle to the left of the property you want to animate

the answer to your second question is no, although you can get around this by doing two identical slices with different layers mapped to them

The answer to your second question is: via the Layer Opacity toggle in the Advanced Output.

This will tell Resolume to ignore the opacity value of that layer and just display the video no matter what. This way you can fade down your layer to not have it visible in the comp, but still see it in the PIP.

You can still use the Bypass switch on the layer to turn the layer on and off.

just an idea for another solution for the second question:

you have to order the layers from top to bottom. first two layers (at the top) has the content for the composition. below them there is a layer with a full black jpeg and with 100% opacity. below that there is layer4 with the pip content routed to an output.

If I am right, than if you start the comp you won't see layer 4 at the comp output because layer3 "hide" it but you will have layer4 at the routed output.

Cant' believe the rotate was so simple,

And I have the PIPs doing exactly what I need.
