Lockup

Post by cat »

K
Had another major crash last gig, everything was OK (apart from the latency mentioned previously, although I think that may require a clean windows install to cure, back to 2000 for me I think!)
This one, bottom layer carried on playing but I was unable to change that clip or play any other in any layer, ie it locked up but continued playing the clip that had been going, this was after and hour or so.
Going out on a tour at the end of the week, so I'm going to reinstall my system if I get the chance, I'll let you know if that cures anything.
Currently winXP prof, Sp2, Dx9c, nvidia5700

Well just restored a ghost backup of Win2000, and everything is sweet, no latency everything seems faster and smoother, why did I ever bother trying XP!!??

many ppl think that winxp is more stable, secure, etc... becouse was released after win2000.
In my opinion win2000 is still the best solution for professional use...
