mask and chromakey

Hello everyone!

So: I've got a few video's with a white or black background. I'd like to delete the background of the video's, so the background is transparent and the underlaying layer is also visible.
I know I can use a image file as a mask, but that doens't work for me because the part I'd not like to be transparent is moving. (I hope you can understand what I mean...excuse me for my english)
I also know I can probably use chromakey for this, but everytime I try to use that effect, resolume crashes for some reason,
I can delete the background with other software ofcourse, but that will cost me a lot of time.

I'd like to know why the chromakey effect crashes, and if there's an other way to make my idea possible!

Thanks in advance! :)

You can remove black very easily with the AutoMask effect. Removing white can be a bit trickier, but I've gotten decent results by using Invert RGB first, then automasking and inverting back again.

The reason ChromaKey crashes it most likely because you don't have a dedicated GPU.

Damn, I never saw that effect...guess I always looked past it.

Well, at least I know now and it works just the way I want it.

Thanks a lot :)
