Major Feature Requests
* Options to modulate parameters via Envelopes and Step Sequencer (in addition to Timeline etc)
Minor Feature Requests
* Reorder Columns by dragging
* Scroll bar in the settings area for MIDI mapping, as there is currently no way to access parameters that are off screen if the area is too small
* Sort compositions by date
* Remember panel divider positions between sessions
* Keyboard shortcut for Edit Composition MIDI\Key Map

We're thinking about adding behaviours to params. Not sure how Step Sequencer would fit into that, but Envelopes is definitely an option.
Reorder Columns by dragging
I'm surprised to find there's no feature request for this yet. Any +1s?
Scroll bar in the settings area for MIDI mapping
Assigning shortcuts is going to change in Res 5, so this will no longer be an issue. You should be able to access the settings by dragging up the layer area though?
Sort compositions by date
More sorting and grouping options are coming for these panels in Res 5.
Remember panel divider positions between sessions
You're going to blow your top when you see what we have planned for panel dividers.
Keyboard shortcut for Edit Composition MIDI\Key Map
Even crazier, Comp Midi Map is going to disappear altogether....

What about moving/copying multiple selected clips by dragging?
if I select multiple clips now, and try to drag them only one gets dragged.

Thanks yes, I forgot to mention that!

Whaaaaaaat? I use this all the time

... will there be another way to create MIDI mappings for each set individually? I often map effect Opacity etc to MIDI controllers but each set has its own set of effects depending on the effect.
Please tell me that this isn't going to disappear altogether????

By Step Sequencer I was thinking of e.g. 16 step sequencer, where each step is a value from 0 to 100%, and duration of each step could be synced to BPM (1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1,2,4 etc) or free-running in milliseconds.

Re Comp Midi Map: Of course. In fact, you can do this with App Midi Map in Res 4 as well now. You can load a different App Midi Map via the preferences.
We're just going to make it easier to associate a specific App Midi Map with a composition. We feel this is a lot better than having a completely different Mapping Mode to confuse people with.
Re Step Sequencer: Yeah, that's the general idea. I meant we're not quite sure how we elegantly add this as a behaviour without making a completely new step sequencer interface. Thanks for clarifying though.
Re Multiple feature requests in a single post: Very difficult to keep the conversation to the point and impossible for people to find the info in the future

Re Multiple clip drag
The problem is that the behaviour becomes hard to predict in some cases. For instance: When you pick up four clips in a row by the right clip and drag them to another place, you'd expect the clips to fill from that place and then fill the three place to the left of it, right?
So what if you drag those four clips to a place on the left end of the deck? Where would the other three clips go?
These type of situations and a couple of other gotchas is why we haven't implemented it yet.

I did wonder how the Step Sequencer interface might work, if a separate dialogue might be needed etc.
RE: multiple points, fair enough - I guess I don't want to overload the forum with a bunch of individual posts, but point taken

Yes,

when a clip is dragged now, a thumbnail is showing , and the four corners are shown where if released the clip will land. The same functionality would work, for multiple clips too, so the user will see where the clips will end up.
The left side (and bottom layer) should function as a barrier so the tumbnails can't get dragged out,
and the right side (and maybe the top) wolud function as it does now when multiple clips dropped(pasted) - creating columns (maybe layers too).
may I ask about the other gotchas?
