Midi OTHER NOTES work around

I've been trawling the forum and the net all day trying to find a fix for the other notes midi assignment problem. I don't know if this is a problem with my settings (most likely!) or with resolume, however I now have a work around.

Bome's MIDI translator allows you to capture midi signals and convert them into keystrokes, so I assigned the buttons on my x session to key strokes mapped in Resolume and it all works! As the other notes are all toggles or on/off values it all good...

If anyone knows of a real fix for this or knows what I'm doing wrong then please let me know!

The software is availble here:

http://bome.com/midi/translator/

Got a show in Berlin tomorrow night so I'll let you know if it's stable....

Cheers, Tom

Midi - Other Notes stuff - Same problem here! BUG?

I just bought a Behringer 'B-Control Rotary' USB midi controller. (150 euro)
I can assign all faders to my midiwheels but the other notes/ keystrokes like Darken/Ilk/Brighten/Lk etc. wont work.

BUG: In resolume 2.0 The Alpha/opacity slider parameter does not move in Active Effect in channel/layer, first I thought that it didnt work at all but it seems to work fine. only the slider doesn't move when I move my midi-controller.

Anyone?

Cheers on finding the work around- I've been trying to figure out this problem, which is a real bastard I might add, for a while now.

Since it's such a major bug, and it seems it's quite common (I think many people are scared to ask questions about it because they think it's their lack of MIDI knowledge and they'll just look like a dick), you would think there'd be a fix out there, at least one easy to find.

I realise this thread is probably dead by now, but if you did manage to find a fix (for either 2.2 or 2.3) please let me know.

Peace.
