this year seems to be breakthrough for VJing.

Companies introduce
V4
DVD player DVJ

Pionieer does huge campain for DVD player

DJ Mag does (fake- friends for friends) TOP 10 of VJing.


now for some time we can obseve kind of software "competition"

new software like VKing
new versions of Flowmotion/ Elektronika / Resolume / Grid for Windows
etc.


is it still healthy competition or kind of war for a client (VJ) ? I think Number of VJs will rise like it was with DJs some thime ago .

what are you thinghts about this VJ thing ? Do we see rise of regular VJ MARKET ?

I don't think there is any realy competition each software as is exclusive feutures and each VJ have is mode of acting.

i have the same option...i think next few years every DJ, band or even teater company will have a VJ on the backgound

there is of course some competition,
arkaos is doing a lot on advertisment,
they once had a google ad that would pop up when you searched for resolume. But that's all childs play. Pioneer has a big bag of money and uses it to promote their hardware. Most vj- software developers aren't able to even live from what they earn from sales. So let alone start a commercial campaign.
