Am I correct in thinking this isn't possible? At present, recording the output appears to only record the video file and not the adjusted mapped coordinates.
This would be so useful for video mapping. e.g. Map one section through the advanced tab, record it. Map a second section, record it and then play both video recordings back as a default full screen display, mixing between both files, etc etc..

You are correct,

You know, you can send layers directly to slices.

record content for setup 1, place into layer 1,
record content for setup 2 place into layer 2.
make a mapping for layer 1 routed to slice directly,
make a different mapping for layer 2 routed to another slice directly.
