Hey,
I´m a little bit confused about using Pictures in Resolume.
If i want to use ~100 different Pictures what is the right way of dealing with it ?
1. Convert every Picture in a 3 Sec .mov with DXV ?
2. All Pictures 72dpi and CompSize ?
3. Something different at all ?
Pls let make this clear to me.... Damn it...

Other Question :
Is there allready a TextPlugin for Resolume or another way of getting some Sentences inside ?

Just drag the jpgs in. It accepts jpgs, png, etc.

Using still-frame DXV's is technically most efficient. If you end up using PNG, 72dpi at comp size should be fine.

Your question is a bit unclear. Are you asking 1) what's the best way to bring all your pics into Resolume or 2) what's the best format for your pics?
1) drag and drop as many pics as you want and all the pics will end up in the same layer to the right of the first clip where you drop the pics. It'll automatically add columns to your layer is you have more pics than columns.
2) unless you have lots of abnormally large pic, my preference is png format since it has an alpha channel. If you have lots of large pics, I'd consider splitting the comp into multiple decks before using DXV stills but that's my personal preference.

Greetings,
the best bet is to convert the stills and video to DXV, more efficient(offloading to the GPU) and less memory hogging than jpg and png(RAM usage). Due to how resolume uses these files, it will kick out after awhile with too many jpg/png files...because of the loading of all the files into memory...

I haven't been able to match the quality of PNG files when I have tried to render short DXV files which is why I keep using PNG files. But I'd love it if someone could point me I the right direction in terms of converting large PNG files into DXV files without any loss.

You've gotten three answers to your question from three different people. If there is a part which is still unclear, perhaps it's best to rephrase your question.

Joris, in your experience, what's the best way to convert an image into a still-frame DXV file without losing any quality?
