Akai APC 20 & 40 Midi Problems

Hello,
I' m using the APC 20 and 40 to controll Resolume. The mapping of only one controller was simple. But I want to use both together. And there is the problem. Resolume recognizes both but both sending the same midi data which syncs them. I map for example a fader on the APC 20 and the equivalent part on the Apc 40 does the same. I contacted the Akai support and they sent me the following link:

I don't know what to do with this information. My guess is that I have to change the midi channel somehow. Do you know an option for that? Or a way I can use the information of that link? Hopefully I don't have to use Bomes because I really don't how it works. Maybe you're able to help me.
Best regards and thank you very much in advance,
snox

P.S. I'm sorry, I'm not that good in english but I try my best ;)

Your guess is correct: you need some way to tell one of the two controllers to send out different midi data.

On an APC, you do this by sending a specific Midi Sysex message to the controller. Using Bomes is one way to do it.

If you don't feel like hacking things, there was a user a while back that had a script for using two APC40s. I've never tried it but the post is here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10532&p=41459#p41459. Maybe you can ask him if it works for a 20 and 40 as well?
