Cosmowe, that's a pretty cool setup!
I just checked their webpage and you can actually use any graphics cards up to 375W so that means one could connect an Nvidia GTX 780 or an AMD R9 290 to this 13" laptop and still use the onboard Nvidia GTX 860M.
Unless I'm reading this wrong, using the AMD R9 290 with an MST hub , one could drive 8 outputs with this 13" laptop, right?
Just too bad the laptop doesn't come with an i7 processor!

Hey Oaktown,
as far I understand the given information ...the internal gtx will be switched of if you plug in the graphic extension. The notebook screen will then be fired with an std. intel graphic chip.

Here is what their website claims:
Killer combo: Matched with the Alienware 13, the Graphics Amplifier provides a perfect solution for the gamer who desires the full rush of ultimate gaming anytime, anywhere. Stay light while you battle opponents on the go, and immerse yourself fully in the desktop experience when you’re stationed at home base by plugging in up to two full monitors from the Alienware 13, an LCD screen and as many extra monitors as the graphics card in your Amplifier allows.

yes..this may work... but the displays which are plugged into the notebook are not running with the internal gtx.
Every external display hooked up to the mDP port from the notebook will run with the internal intel graphics.
It is possible to use the external power for the internal notebook display....That's how I understood it-
Please correct me if I understood something in this video wrong
