Only 10% of laptops can output HDMI to Intensity

Sounds crazy but it is true. Or I am missing something..?
It is hard to find laptops with HDMI output that will be accepted by the Intensity Shuttle- USB3 or Thunderbolt.
90% of source laptops with act like they are connected- in resolution settings it lists that you are connected to BMD device, you can set the resolution to 720 or 1080- yet only a hand full of source laptops will actually show video in Media Express or Resolume. I know- check the settings in Media Express or Resolume- done, its always only 1080p 60 or 720p 60 that laptops can output via HDMI successfully to a Shuttle. I can input one laptop that works fine, shows video- then plug in a different one, same settings, laptop sees the BMD and resolution can be set, but no video shows.
I even took my laptop that I use the Shuttle with to the computer store, trying different laptops HDMI out and I have only found one Lenovo out of all the laptop that can get video to show through the Intensity Shuttles.
So far only these work:
Sager NP8130 / Clevo P151HM1 with a GTX 460M, Chipset: HM65 - Own this, works every time
Lenovo z50-75 AMD A-Series A10-7300, Radeon R6 - Works but not enough power
Old 2008 Macbook Pro with Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT - Old, but works
But every other laptop I could not get to show video.
Note: If using an Intensity Pro card installed on a desktop- It will accept any laptop as a source or even my ipad or iphone -- But this never works on the shuttles, very sad.
So am I totally missing something or what is the issue here? Is there any guideline I can get for what kind of laptops will work as a HDMI source for the Shuttles? Or does anyone have a list of laptops that DO work?
