video wall hardware like datapath X4

I was wondering if there is any other hardware that works relaiable as the datapath X4.

I have a installation with 8 projectors, and 2 outputs from the video card. Which i will have to map.
So my current plan of attack is the following.

2 outputs from a gtx 970 to 1 x datapath x4 and 1 x datapath x4 then each datapath output to 4 projectors on each side.

Let me know other recommendations, I am trying to stay away from matrox since i did have no good experience with them.

I think X4 is the best solution for this. I never had any problem with them. Some issues what you have to consider:

- what resolution do you need? if you need 1080 for all the projectors than be advise that you can have around 35 fps from Arena (I don't remember the exact number, sorry), because X4 can not accept 4k with 50 or 60 Hz with a duallink cable. You can send out 50 or 60 Hz to the projectors but the input will be lower.

- I use a hackintosh mac pro because Win7 driver didn't let me sent out 2 times 4k and 2 times 1080 (if I want to use all my outputs in my GTX680) but Hackintosh did. Do some test before the gigs.

- you can setup the X4 in various versions, my colleagues sometimes set different resolutions to every outputs so if you have an LED wall with 1024x768 and two 1080 projectors than you can map the two 1080 side-by-side and put the XGA content under them and set two x4 output to 1080 and one to XGA.

to summarize I have both THTGO and X4 and X4 is the best investments what you can make. Now I have three X4s and all of them works really well.
